YOGA FOR MS
Move - Breathe - Connect
I am passionate about mental and physical health. I have worked as an Occupational therapist in healthcare for the past 7 years, and my love for supporting people through amazing and some difficult times never wavers. I discovered yoga myself when I was going through some challenging times, and 3 years ago I decided to train to become a yoga teacher and share what I had learnt with those who were also looking for a little guidance.I have now teamed up with The MS Society Norwich and District group to bring accessible yoga classes to those with an MS diagnosis.
These sessions will combine elements of breath work, movement, mindfulness and meditation. Yoga can help manage your MS. Research tells us that exercise can improve your mood, mobility and muscle strength. In particularly yoga has been proven to:
Reduce depression, decrease pain, reduce fatigue, increase lung capacity, Improve bladder function, improve Balance, Increase Self confidence, increased sense of welbeing, Improved sleep and reduced spasms.
Yoga is a mind-body therapy, and takes a holistic view to health. A wonderful way to support you with whatever it is that you need. To find out more please do not hesitate to contact. Either via the contact form on this site, or by email yogaalex2019@gmail.com. In which I will be able to answer any questions.
